No-Gap Fee for WorkSafe

A work-related injury may be eligible for treatment under the WorkSafe model. Racecourse Road Family Health is experienced in providing the required paperwork for the employer and the insurance company for work-related injuries.

Our physiotherapists and exercise physilogits are also proficient in their communication with the employer, the insurance company and your rehabilitation consultant, as required.

Under the WorkSafe model, the employer must accept liability for the injury of the worker. If the claim is accepted, the insurance company will pay reasonable costs in relation to treatment for a specific claim.

Treating a work injury

Our focus at Racecourse Road Family Health is to assist the worker in a successful and safe return to normal duties in the workplace within an appropriate time frame. We focus on providing the appropriate physiotherapy assessment and treatment skills to return the worker to full work fitness, whilst resolving their work injury.

Please bring to your initial physio appointment:

• A referral letter and a copy of your Initial Certificate of Capacity signed by your doctor
• Your date of Injury, as given to your employer
• Your claim number, or insurance company details (a copy of insurance letter is helpful) 
• The contact person and their phone number at your employer 

Paperwork to complete at Racecourse Road Family Health at your initial physio/EP appointment: 

• Physio/EP patient details form, with signed consent.
• Disability questionnaires (as recommended by the treating physio/exercise physiology)
• Risk analysis questionnaires (as recommended by the treating physiology)

After your initial physio appointment: 

• An appropriate physiotherapy assessment will be provided, including a history of your work injury
• A diagnosis of the injury will be confirmed
• Suitable treatment skills will be used to treat your specific injury, consistent with the Clinical Framework
